Realizing The New School: Lessons From the Past (you can download it for free here) features essays by Julia Foulkes and Mark Larrimore, New School faculty and in-house historians, published in 2020 by Public Seminar. The authors hope their book inspires you to read other essays in their Public History seminar, “New School Histories.” These essays build on and build out Foulkes and Larrimore's ongoing research and conversations and provide a particularly incisive look at the first 60 years of the school, attending to questions that still rankle.
